The summit brings global experts together to discuss S&T trends and showcases the technologies being developed by HTX to exponentially impact Singapore’s safety and security
SINGAPORE, April 5, 2022 – The inaugural TechX Summit (TXS) organised by HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) will take place from April 5 to 8, 2022.
Themed “Transforming Tomorrow, A Safer World For Everyone,” TXS 2022 will bring together global leaders across government, industry, and research institutions, to share knowledge and insights on leading science and technology (S&T) trends that can transform public safety and security to secure a safer world for everyone.
Mr. Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, will officiate at the opening of TXS 2022. The Opening Conference on April 5 will also feature a fireside chat with Mr. Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, and a closed-door S&T roundtable with leaders from international public safety and security agencies on the theme of TXS 2022.
TXS 2022 will also include closed-door virtual panel discussions by S&T thought leaders on April 6 and 7 on the following topics:
- Cloud, Crisis and Citizens in Need
- The Evolving Cyber Landscape: Transformations, Disruptions and Crimes
- Countering New and Emerging CBRNE Threats in Homeland and Border Security
- Drone Strategy for Safety and Security of Singapore
The four-day summit includes an exhibition held physically and virtually showcasing a selection of HTX’s innovations in the “Man, Machine, and Mission” domains. These technologies aim to force multiply the Home Team in solving crimes, saving lives, enhancing public safety and security, securing borders, and safeguarding data and systems.

HTX and the Home Team must continually push boundaries, innovate, and leverage technology to ensure we are future-ready against new threats and challenges to Singapore’s safety and security,” said Mr. Chan Tsan, CEO of HTX, who is concurrently the Deputy Secretary (Development) of Ministry of Home Affairs.
