- More than 850 Xponents and friends from the Singapore Prison Service (SPS) and Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG) took part in the flag-off of HTX’s Annual Walk and Run 2026 on 18 September.
- The event was themed Walk for a Cause, reflecting HTX’s CSR partnership with YRSG in support of second chances.
- Participants set off from Hong Lim Park on an urban route featuring stops at sites of social and historical interest.
- Xponents also participated in a virtual run from 18 to 25 September and the Yellow Ribbon Run on 20 September.
More than 850 Xponents and friends from the Singapore Prison Service (SPS) and Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG) set off for a good cause at the official flag-off of HTX’s Annual Walk and Run (AWR) 2026.
Held on 18 September, this year’s AWR was anchored on HTX’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnership with YRSG and themed “Walk for a Cause”.
Like HTX, YRSG is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs. YRSG helps inmates and ex-offenders rebuild their lives through skills training, career development and community acceptance.
In attendance at the AWR were guest-of-honour Mr Wong Kang Jet, Second Permanent Secretary (Home Affairs), together with Matthew Wee, Commissioner of Prisons, Singapore Prison Service, and Sunny Lee, CEO of YRSG.
Spirits were buoyant as participants started the AWR at Hong Lim Park before following an urban route with pit stops at locations significant to the Yellow Ribbon cause.
In his opening address, HTX Chief Executive (CE) Chan Tsan highlighted the event’s role in promoting healthy living and camaraderie among Xponents, while rallying support for second chances.
“This year, I’m very happy that we elevated the event a notch by using it to promote togetherness among the Home Team, in support of a very worthy cause,” he said.
Xponents also turned up in droves to take part in the Yellow Ribbon Run on 20 September.
